Edina, a Leeds-based power generation specialist, is seeking an Operations Engineer for a full-time, permanent role. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on installations across Leeds and surrounding areas.

You will diagnose and repair reactive maintenance, optimize processes to boost productivity, and participate in a 24-hour callout rota, with weekend work possible. Safety and reliability are key priorities.

Formación

• ONC/NVQ2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum three years' industrial mechanical and/or electrical experience.
• Knowledge of gas/diesel engines.
• Strong communication and IT skills; proficient with MS Office.
• Full, valid driving licence.

The Role

• As an Operations Engineer, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on installations across Leeds and the surrounding area.
• Ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved, you will efficiently diagnose and implement all reactive maintenance work on our clients' installations, as well as other users' installations.
• You will also oversee and work to optimise the operational processes of users' systems to increase productivity and reduce their use of excess time and materials.
• This role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work.
• You will be required to participate in an established 24-hour callout programme based on a rota system.

About You

• To hold a minimum of an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, motor vehicle studies or equivalent
• To be a competent time-served technician, preferably with a minimum of three years’ industrial mechanical and/or electrical experience
• To possess in-depth knowledge of gas/diesel engines
• To demonstrate excellent communication skills
• To have effective IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Office packages
• To hold a full, valid driving licence

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm.
