Job summary

SF Search Partners is seeking an experienced Operations Director for a well‑established manufacturing and fabrication business. You will report to the Managing Director and drive operational performance, Lean initiatives and an objectives‑driven, data‑led approach to delivering customer value.

You will lead production, supply chain, procurement, warehousing and logistics while mentoring high‑performing teams and shaping the future direction of the organisation in a hands‑on environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading operations in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Proven track record of improving operational performance.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead production, supply chain, procurement, warehousing and logistics.
• Develop and deliver operational strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Improve operational performance through KPIs and data‑led decision making.
• Manage operational budgets and cost control.
• Lead, develop and mentor operational teams.
• Optimise processes, inventory and product availability.
• Deliver operational change and transformation projects.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and quality standards.
• Partner with the senior leadership team to support business growth.
