Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking an ambitious Operations Director to grow and lead our Northern Powergrid region. You will oversee the delivery of DNO frameworks and projects across Yorkshire, ensuring profitability and high customer satisfaction through strong leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Proven track record of running a business or region delivering similar projects.
  • Strong connections within Northern Powergrid and understanding of its workflows, supply chain, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're looking to appoint an Operations Director to grow the business within the Northern Powergrid region. The Operations Director will lead the operational delivery of DNO frameworks and projects across Yorkshire, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction through effective leadership, high-performing teams, and exceptional internal and external stakeholder management. Some of the key deliverables in this role will include: As the Operations Director, you will take the lead in building and growing our existing business, focusing on Northern Powergrid projects. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will secure and deliver contracts, establish key partnerships, and lead with purpose. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving Business Growth: Securing and delivering projects, such as substation asset replacements.
  • Strategic Leadership: Creating a regional plan and ensuring successful contract delivery while maximising profitability.
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders: Working closely with internal teams and building strong partnerships with Northern Powergrid and the supply chain.
  • Building High-Performing Teams: Recruiting and developing a team to support operational delivery and growth., Diverse Projects: Work on a mix of regulated and non-regulated projects, ensuring variety and impact.
