Job Description

The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network, with over 200,000 vehicles per day. It includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, requiring high performance, continuous improvement, and repairs.

We’ve formed a Joint Venture called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to manage the M25 under a 30-year contract. We are seeking an Inspections Lead to oversee statutory and contractual inspections. You will work closely with Delivery Leads to define inspection programs, data capture, quality standards, and cost targets. You will ensure inspections meet quality, contractual, and statutory deadlines, and decide on delivery strategies, including internal or outsourced options.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safety: Demonstrate safety leadership, promote behavioural safety, and ensure safety considerations are integrated into inspection processes.
  2. Reporting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies; prepare and present inspection reports.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main contact for internal and external stakeholders, escalate issues as needed.
  4. Resource Allocation: Collaborate with Delivery leads to meet project deadlines, manage resources across teams and supply chain.
  5. Process Ownership: Own inspection processes, including scheduling, execution, data capture, and process improvements.
  6. People Leadership: Lead and develop a large inspection team, including supply chain inspectors.
  7. Budget Management: Monitor and control inspection budgets, implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • Experience managing large inspection programs across multiple asset types.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: PMP or similar, SMSTS qualification.
