Job Description

The M25 is one of our flagship projects in the UK, serving over 200,000 vehicles daily. It includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, requiring high performance, continuous improvement, and repairs. We have formed a joint venture, Connect Plus Services (CPS), to operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract. We seek an Inspections Lead to oversee statutory and contractual inspections, working closely with delivery leads for each asset type to ensure inspection programs meet quality, safety, and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety: Demonstrate high safety standards, promote behavioral safety, and ensure safety considerations are integrated into inspection processes.
• Reporting and Compliance: Ensure all inspections comply with laws and policies; prepare and present monthly inspection reports to clients and leadership.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding inspections, escalating issues as needed.
• Resource Allocation: Collaborate with delivery leads to allocate resources effectively, ensuring project deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Process Ownership: Manage inspection processes across asset types, leading improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
• People Leadership: Lead and develop a large inspection team, ensuring clarity of targets and fostering staff development.
• Budget Management: Monitor and control inspection budgets, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing large inspection programs across multiple assets or similar activities.
• Strong leadership skills, preferably within a matrix organization.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications: PMP or equivalent, SMSTS qualification.
