Job summary

Vanguard is seeking an Operations Data Steward in the UK to manage day-to-day governance and data management across UK Personal Investor Operations. You will partner with leaders across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Privacy and the CDAO to implement the European Data Governance Framework and translate standards into operational practice.

Qualifications

• Experience in data stewardship, governance, quality or related discipline.
• Maintaining data inventories, metadata, critical data elements and end-to-end lineage.
• Designing data controls and remediation across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of data lifecycle, retention, privacy, information security in regulated environments.
• Strong Excel and data visualization skills (Power BI).
• Ability to translate data issues into business impacts for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of data governance activities across operational data lifecycle.
• Maintain inventory, metadata, critical data elements, glossaries, data dictionaries and ownership records.
• Implement governance policies, standards, processes and controls with evidence of operation.
• Ensure reporting uses authoritative and defined data sources.
• Coordinate remediation and escalation of risks to closure.
