Job summary

Standard Bank Offshore seeks a senior professional to establish and monitor an Operations Controls framework across end-to-end product operations. You will lead a controls team, embed a robust control environment and enable real-time assurance throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires deep risk management knowledge, strong data interpretation, and stakeholder influence to contain losses and non-financial risk within a complex banking setup.

Qualifications

• First Degree qualifications required in audit or risk management.
• 5–7 years in Operations Control; 8–10 years in banking preferred.
• Ability to implement end-to-end control frameworks and monitor risk.
• Experience with KRIs and risk reporting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor the Ops Control framework across end-to-end product ops.
• Lead a Controls Team to embed a robust control environment and real-time assurance.
• Influence leadership to contain operational losses and non-financial risk.
• Identify interconnections of product, systems, processes and their upstream/downstream impact.
• Gather data and perform trend analysis to provide dashboards and insights.
