Job summary

Bank of America in Bromley is seeking an Operations Analyst - Sanctions to join the Center of Excellence for sanctions monitoring within Global Payment Operations. You will investigate OFAC alerts and support the sanctions program to ensure regulatory compliance across domestic and international activities.

Ideal candidates have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sanctions screening reviews in accordance with established procedures, ensuring timely and accurate review of alerts while maintaining compliance with regulatory, policy and risk management requirements.
• Achieve productivity, quality and service level expectations by processing assigned workloads efficiently and consistently across all supported screening queues.
• Identify, challenge and elevate potential risks, issues and concerns in a timely manner, supporting a culture of strong risk awareness, transparency and continuous improvement.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, including recommending filter enhancements, reducing false positive alerts and supporting process optimisation initiatives.
• Keep up to date with procedural changes, job aids, policy updates, training requirements and industry developments to ensure knowledge remains current and decisions remain aligned with expectations.
• Contribute positively to team culture by collaborating effectively with colleagues, sharing knowledge, supporting the development of others and promoting an inclusive and respectful working environment.
• Participate with the coordination of implementation for products, services, and operational solutions.

Location Overview:

Join our bustling Bromley office, situated in one of London’s greenest boroughs. Here you’ll find plentiful and easy commuting routes, with central London just 15 minutes away by train.

Role Description:

In this role you will be part of the Center of Excellence for economic sanctions monitoring and therefore part of Global Payment Operations (GPO). GPO is the central hub for Bank of America in playing a monumental and mission critical role in establishing, servicing, supporting and monitoring two of the most widely used electronic payment processing vehicles – Wire and ACH – in the financial services arena worldwide. GPO is also accountable for the SSCoE (Sanctions Screening Center of Excellence) that reviews all of Bank of America’s customers and transactions to ensure compliance with Bank of America’s Economic Sanctions Program.

In this role you will also Investigate Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) alerts for both domestic and international consumer, commercial and wholesale bank businesses or services functions.
