Job Advertisement: Sanctions Screening

Location: London (hybrid)
Contract Length: 6 months (Potential extension)
Working Pattern: Full Time

Our client, a leading financial institution within the EMEA region, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanctions Screening Analyst for a temporary position lasting six months. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with sanctions regulations and policies while managing high volumes of transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct sanctions screening for live transactions and customers across the EMEA region.
  • Complete the level zero philtre pass/refer process within the sanctions screening system.
  • Manage a high volume of Real Time processing, with an expectation of processing over 400 transactions daily.
  • Review Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening within the organisation's sanctions philtre, Fircosoft Trust.
  • Ensure the timely completion of daily workloads in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Process items within agreed cut-off times, ensuring all items are reviewed promptly.
  • Participate in ongoing projects related to system development and testing.
  • Actively engage in updates to the Business Contingency Plan and User Testing initiatives.
  • Review quality findings and ensure that any identified issues are resolved within the established timeframe.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as directed, providing support and cover during European working hours and on London Bank Holidays as needed.
  • Report and escalation issues to the Operational and Administrative Division (OAD) management.
