Key duties include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with shareholder compliance requirements.
- Monitor health and safety regulation and establish policies for the business.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with gas safety regulations, maintaining records and conducting regular inspections of gas appliances and installations.
- Oversee block management compliance, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and best practice guidelines.
- Manage and review Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), ensuring that all fire safety standards are met and that necessary improvements are implemented promptly.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance.
- Investigate and resolve any compliance violations or issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor changes in real estate laws and regulations, updating practices to maintain compliance.
- Ensure that properties meet established quality and safety standards, conducting regular audits.
- Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
- Provide proactive advice, challenge, and review to the business, ensuring robust conduct risk mitigation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry changes, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance compliance functions.
