Job summary

Job description

The Opportunity

Sanderson King is supporting a high-growth, PE-backed, multi-site healthcare business with the appointment of an Operations Business Process Manager.

The business is scaling rapidly across London and the UK, creating an opportunity for an experienced process and operational excellence professional to help build the infrastructure required to support significant future growth.

This is effectively an internal business consulting role. You will work across the organisation to understand how things operate today, identify where they can work better and then design and implement practical, scalable solutions.

We are looking for someone who has previously worked within a fast-growing, multi-site organisation and genuinely enjoys building processes from the ground up rather than simply maintaining established ways of working.

The Role

You will take ownership of business process improvement across the organisation, working closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Property, Technology, People and other teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Mapping and documenting end-to-end business processes.
• Developing operational standards, playbooks and SOPs.
• Building scalable operational frameworks to support rapid multi-site growth.
• Simplifying complex processes and removing unnecessary steps.
• Driving greater consistency across locations while maintaining an exceptional customer and team experience.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through process, technology and automation.
• Leading operational improvement initiatives from concept through to implementation.
• Introducing AI and digital tools where they can deliver genuine operational value.
• Facilitating workshops with different functions to identify challenges and develop better ways of working.
• Leading cross-functional projects and gaining stakeholder buy-in for change.

Commercial Performance

This isn't simply a process-mapping role. We need someone who understands the commercial impact of operational improvement.

You will:

• Analyse operational data and KPIs to identify opportunities.
• Develop business cases for operational change and investment.
• Measure the impact of process improvements.
• Ensure initiatives translate into measurable business benefits.

About You

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• Significant business process improvement experience within a multi-site organisation.
• Experience within a startup, scale-up or rapidly growing business.
• A track record of building processes from the ground up.
• Strong process mapping, redesign and implementation experience.
• Operational transformation experience with measurable results.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects.
• Experience introducing automation, digital tools and ideally AI.
• Confidence working with operational data and KPIs.
• Strong stakeholder management and the confidence to constructively challenge senior leaders.
• Experience creating scalable frameworks, governance and documentation.

Experience within healthcare, hospitality, retail or another customer-focused multi-site environment would be particularly relevant.

Experience scaling an organisation from a relatively small number of locations to a significantly larger estate would also be highly advantageous.

Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, PRINCE2, Agile or PMP qualifications would be useful but aren't essential. Experience implementing ERP, CRM or operational workflow systems would also be valuable.

Location & Working Pattern

Location: London

Working pattern: Full-time, office and clinic-based.

This is not a hybrid or remote position. Candidates need to be based in, or able to reliably commute to, London and be comfortable working across different locations as required.

Candidates must also already have unrestricted UK right to work, as sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
