Job description

Snowplow is the real-time customer context layer that collects, validates, enriches, and delivers behavioral data for advanced analytics, ML, and AI agent decisioning. Snowplow's event tracking is leveraged across 2M+ websites and applications globally, processing over one trillion events per month.

More than 250 companies, including Experian, AutoTrader, Strava, Condé Nast, and HelloFresh, rely on Snowplow to build a well-governed, first-party data foundation that powers their customer-facing AI agents, in-session personalization and recommendations, and real-time analytics.

This Opportunity

Snowplow's Operations function is run lean and supports a company that has scaled fast. We are hiring an Operations Associate to work across Finance, People and the wider operational side of the business.

This role is deliberately unspecialised. You will not own a single function; you will be the person Operations relies on to get things moving, working directly with the Financial Controller and the People Director, and reporting to the SVP of Finance & Operations. In practice that means a month-end close in the same week as an all-hands deck and a board travel booking.

We are also hiring for how you work, not just what you have done. Snowplow builds behavioral data infrastructure for AI, and we expect the people running our own operations to use AI properly - as the default way you approach a task, not an occasional novelty. If you already work this way, you will get more done here than the role's job title suggests.

This is a first or second role, and it is a genuine route into a career in operations. Over 18 to 24 months you will see how a scaling B2B software company actually runs from the inside, and you will finish with a clear view of which function you want to build a career in. We will support you in studying towards a professional qualification whether that's finance, people operations, general business operations, or something else. We'd rather back the direction you choose than pick it for you.

What you will own:
Finance
  • Month-end support. Helping prepare the management accounts, checking accounts and budget trackers against Xero for completeness and accuracy, and running simple balance sheet reconciliations and analysis.
  • The AP inbox and payment cycle. Reviewing the AP inbox and taking the right action on each item, processing transactions in Spendesk and expenses in Deel with the finance team, preparing the draft payment run, and chasing missing receipts and approvals at month-end.
  • Invoicing and collections. Reviewing the invoicing inboxes and working with the finance team to chase customers for payment.
  • US healthcare administration. Updating and reconciling the monthly control sheet and drafting the premium allocation journal.
  • Audit and statutory support. Collating documents for audit queries and proofreading financial statement drafts.
Workplace and coordination
  • Our workplace. Managing our WeWork spaces day to day, whether that's access, supplies, meeting rooms, vendor contacts, and being the person people ask when something in the office needs sorting.
  • Socials and company moments. Planning and running team socials and company events, from the logistics to the small details that make people turn up.
  • Company communications admin. Pulling together all-hands and company update deck, which includes collecting inputs from across the business, keeping the format consistent, and making sure the deck exists before the meeting starts.
  • Travel. Booking travel for the leadership team team and for board members, including board meeting logistics.
People
  • Onboarding and offboarding coordination. Processing right-to-work checks, drafting contract paperwork, and making sure the admin side runs smoothly so new joiners and departing colleagues have what they need.
  • People team support. Helping with interview coordination, administrative support for People projects, and keeping our HRIS records accurate.
  • Administrative backbone. Running the hygiene and process side of the employee lifecycle - changes, updates, records, so the People team can focus on strategy.
Across Operations
  • Whatever the function needs. Financial analysis, vendor reviews, process improvements and one-off projects that come up because the business is growing faster than the processes around it.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
  • One to three years of experience, or a strong graduate record. Finance exposure is genuinely helpful but not required. We care more about whether you can pick things up quickly.
  • A real working relationship with AI tools. You use Claude or equivalent as a default part of how you work, and you can explain how. We will ask you to show us in the interview process and we care as much about whether you check the output as whether you can prompt well.
  • Confidence in spreadsheets. You can build something useful in Google Sheets or Excel without needing to be walked through it.
  • The ability to sequence your own work. Several people will rely on you and their priorities will conflict. You need to be able to see what matters most and say when something has to wait.
  • A direct communication style. You ask questions when a brief is unclear, and you flag what you cannot resolve rather than quietly guessing. We would much rather hear about a problem early.
  • Real attention to detail. Much of this work is only valuable if it is right - a reconciliation that nearly balances is not a reconciliation.
  • Discretion. You will see confidential financial and people information from your first week, and we need to trust you with it without thinking about it.
  • Comfort with variety. Some days are month-end and structured; some are three unrelated problems and a room booking. If that sounds energising rather than chaotic, this is a good fit.
  • Experience in a scaleup or another fast-growing environment
  • Exposure to Xero, Spendesk or Deel
What you get in return for being awesome:
  • Meaningful equity stake
  • Generous PTO
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Company Pension
  • MacBook and home office equipment allowance
