Job summary

Eton College’s Dorney Lake site is seeking an Operations Assistant to join our team. You will support day-to-day operations of the grounds, buildings and events, with a focus on on-site security, water safety and boat handling.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining boats, assisting with grounds maintenance, and ensuring health and safety standards. An optional rent-free two-bedroom accommodation on Queen’s Eyot may be available, with additional island-management duties if taken.

Qualifications

• Experience of boats or water-based operations is essential.
• Ability to swim a minimum of 50m.
• First Aid at Work or similar training desirable (training provided).
• RYA Level 2 Powerboat certificate desirable (training provided).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the site, buildings and events.
• Support on-site security and water safety.
• Assist in driving and maintenance of boats and related equipment.
• Contribute to grounds and facilities maintenance as required.
• Support the management and stewardship of Queen’s Eyot island if accommodation option is taken.
