Job summary

Sayjo Recruitment, acting on behalf of a client based in Elland, is seeking a highly organised Operations Assistant to join a small but busy operations team.

You will support stock management, forecasting, stock analysis and logistics to maintain product availability and supply chain efficiency, and work closely with sales, marketing and warehousing to ensure product information, pricing and stock levels are accurate.

This role offers exposure to a variety of tasks within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems and product databases.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, reporting).
• Experience managing product information or ecommerce listings.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the process of introducing new ranges with the Product Co-ordinator.
• Ensure stock arrivals from suppliers on time.
• Liaise with suppliers on stock availability and lead times.
• Maintain product information in the ERP system for accuracy.
• Update pricing, costings, and supplier details.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory data.
• Produce stock level and sales reports.
• Support purchasing decisions to optimise stock levels.
• Identify fast-moving or low-stock items.
• Arrange collections with suppliers and freight transport.
• Assist with tracking product samples requests.
• Keep ERP updated with expected receipt dates and order updates.
