Job summary

Sodexo at Portsmouth Naval Base is hiring a General Assistant to support daily facility operations and deliver high standards of service to customers. You will join a friendly team, perform varied duties hands-on, and take pride in completing tasks to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or retail operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and high standards.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of the facility.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
• Restock shelves and keep stores stocked.
• Check and receive deliveries; report discrepancies.
• Move and store stock as required.
• Follow food storage, handling and disposal procedures.
• Complete cleaning duties per schedules.
• Use cleaning equipment safely.
• Follow company, customer and site procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships.
• Report accidents or faults to management.
• Attend team briefings and training as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by the manager.
