Job summary

William Wilson, part of the Wolseley Group, is seeking an Operations Assistant in Glasgow. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with shift times 07:30–16:30 Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays morning after probation.

You will perform general warehouse duties, pick and pack stock (heavy items), load/unload vehicles, and maintain a tidy, safety-focused workspace. Excellent communication and dependable teamwork are essential.

• Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Able to handle a physically demanding job.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
• Dependable team player, prepared to support in all areas of the branch with a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• General Warehouse duties.
• Picking and packing stock, which will involve heavy lifting and manual handling of heavy items like boilers, radiators, toilets etc.
• Loading/unloading vehicles safely.
• Ensuring the workplace is tidy and adheres to our health and safety procedures.

As a Operations Assistant based in Glasgow, you’ll be responsible for:

• General Warehouse duties.
• Picking and packing stock, which will involve heavy lifting and manual handling of heavy items like boilers, radiators, toilets etc.
• Loading/unloading vehicles safely.
• Ensuring the workplace is tidy and adheres to our health and safety procedures.

The role is full time, permanent position, 40hrs per week, Monday-Friday 07:30-16:30. Alternate Saturdays 08:00-12:00 after probation.
