Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support governance including audit, complaints, incidents, risk and health and safety.
• Be responsible to Cancer Centre Manager for financial performance of delegated budgets and operational performance of the MDT team.
• Represent the Cancer Centre Manager as required.

Job Title: Operations and Performance Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in the Cancer Centre as an Operations and Performance Manager.

We are seeking an ambitious, motivated and highly collaborative Cancer Operations & Performance Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality cancer care. This is an opportunity to directly influence performance, patient outcomes and service improvement across one of the Trust's most strategically important portfolios.

As Operations & Performance Manager, you will provide operational leadership and performance management expertise to support the delivery of national cancer standards, recovery ambitions and Trust objectives.

Working closely with clinical leaders, operational teams, divisional management, data analysts and system partners, you will lead performance improvement initiatives, identify opportunities to streamline patient pathways and drive sustainable change across cancer services.

You will translate complex performance information into meaningful actions, ensuring that operational decisions are informed by robust data, intelligence and a clear understanding of patient impact.

• Evidence of continuing personal development
• Track record of successfully working in a multi-disciplinary team
• Significant experience of working in the NHS in a management position
• Staff management and supervision of or leading a team
• Introducing new ways of working
• Experience of project management and ability to work to deadlines

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of performance driven service management experience in the NHS and will be looking for the opportunity to develop their skills.
