Job description

Enjoy Education | London | Hybrid | Full-time, permanent

Working pattern: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in our London office. Monday and Friday are flexible for focused administration and agreed business priorities. Additional office attendance may be required for planned business needs.

About Enjoy Education

Enjoy Education supports families in the UK and internationally through private tuition and homeschooling. We provide a thoughtful, highly personalised service, shaped around each child’s needs.

We’re looking for an experienced Operations and Office Manager who brings warmth, initiative and dependable organisation to the practical running of our business.

The role

Reporting to our Directors and working closely with the CEO, you’ll take ownership of office management, people and recruitment administration, business calendars, suppliers and agreed leadership support.

You’ll be someone who notices what needs doing and follows it through. Whether you’re welcoming a new colleague, coordinating interviews or improving a recurring process, you’ll take pride in helping others do their best work.

What you’ll do
  • Keep our London office organised, equipped and welcoming, coordinating meeting rooms, supplies, maintenance, facilities and workplace checks.
  • Maintain confidential people records and coordinate recruitment, onboarding, leavers, probation, reviews and training administration.
  • Manage business calendars, organise meeting materials, record agreed actions and follow up with colleagues to keep work moving.
  • Provide business diary, meeting and event support to the CEO and Directors, helping them stay organised and prepared.
  • Track supplier contracts, renewals and costs, coordinating purchasing and invoice queries with Finance.
  • Arrange equipment, accounts and system access with IT providers and internal system owners, following issues through to resolution.
  • Maintain compliance records and deadlines, raising missing information or concerns with the responsible colleague.
  • Improve everyday administration through clear procedures, practical checklists and appropriate technology.
What you’ll bring

Ideally, you’ll have at least five years’ relevant experience in office management, operations coordination, business support or executive support.

  • Experience independently managing a varied workload, balancing priorities and completing work accurately and on time.
  • Experience coordinating recruitment, onboarding or employee administration, alongside suppliers, purchasing or renewals.
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365, shared calendars, document management and an HR information system.
  • Clear communication, discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential information.
  • The confidence to clarify requests, raise concerns and follow up constructively with colleagues, including senior leaders.
  • A warm, practical approach and a willingness to get involved in everyday tasks.

Experience in education, professional services or another environment where personal service and discretion matter would be helpful. Familiarity with CharlieHR, HubSpot, compliance administration or process improvement is also welcome.

You’ll work closely with our leadership team in a varied role where your contribution is visible every day. There’s scope to take ownership, build useful processes and make working life easier for colleagues across the business.

If you enjoy supporting people, solving practical problems and seeing work through to completion, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Enjoy Education is committed to equal opportunities and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Appointment will be subject to the pre-employment and safeguarding checks appropriate to the role.
