Job description

We wish to appoint an Operational Support Officer within the Waste Services Team to provide a point of contact for our Commercial Waste customers and carry out administrative tasks within a busy administration team.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Ensuring consistent and quality service to all internal and external customers, both domestic and commercial, in relation to waste and recycling.
  2. Supporting the wider operational and policy teams within Waste Services.
  3. Undertaking a full range of technical clerical duties including use of spreadsheets, maintenance of database systems, general clerical work, finance-related tasks, and dealing with enquiries over the phone.
  4. Performing other duties relevant to the service area.
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Previous experience working within an administration and general financial environment, including basic routine tasks with numeracy, accuracy, and literacy skills.
  2. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  3. Ability to meet strict deadlines and work as part of a team.
  4. Experience with manual and electronic information systems, with the ability to store and retrieve information.
