Job summary

Hadley Learning Community invites applications for an experienced and highly organised professional to join our Inclusion Team as Operational SEND Lead. Working closely with the SENDCo, senior leaders, staff, families and external agencies, you will identify pupils early, coordinate support and ensure full inclusion in all aspects of school life.

You will maintain accurate SEND records, provision maps and APDR processes, lead inclusion and intervention staff, and build strong partnerships with

Qualifications

  • Significant experience supporting pupils with SEND and barriers to learning.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and graduated approach.
  • Experience maintaining SEND records, provision maps and APDR processes.
  • Ability to engage with parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Experience leading inclusion and intervention staff.

Responsibilities

  • Work with SENDCo and leaders to identify early support needs.
  • Coordinate and monitor APDR cycles and provision maps.
  • Lead inclusion and intervention staff to deliver high-quality provision.
  • Maintain accurate SEND records and compliance with safeguarding policies.
  • Collaborate with families and external agencies to coordinate support.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly organised professional to join our Inclusion Team as Operational SEND Lead. Working closely with the SENDCo, senior leaders, staff, families and external agencies, you will play a key role in ensuring pupils are identified early, supported effectively and fully included in all aspects of school life.

The successful applicant will:
  • Have an ability to engage, enthuse and motivate students.
  • Have significant experience supporting children and young people with SEND and additional barriers to learning.
  • Have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the graduated approach.
  • Be skilled in maintaining accurate SEND records, provision maps and Individual Support Plans.
  • Support and quality assure Assess, Plan, Do, Review (APDR) processes.
  • Work effectively with parents, carers and external agencies to coordinate support for pupils.
  • Lead and support inclusion and intervention staff to ensure high quality provision.
  • Have excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills.
  • Be committed to ensuring every child can achieve, participate, belong and succeed.
  • Demonstrate resilience, initiative and a solution-focused approach.
