Job summary

London Borough of Waltham Forest is seeking an ambitious Inclusion Lead / SENDCo for Mission Grove Primary School in a split-site setup in London. The role centers on strategic leadership of SEND provision, ensuring high-quality, personalised support to pupils with SEND and driving improvements across two sites.

You will work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop an ambitious SEND offer, coach staff, engage families and external agencies, and uphold inclusive education as a core school

Responsibilities

The role

As our Inclusion Lead / SENDCo, you will have strategic responsibility for leading, developing and evaluating SEND provision across our split-site school. Working closely with an experienced Senior Leadership Team, you will have the opportunity to build on strong foundations while continuing to develop a highly effective, inclusive and ambitious SEND offer.

You will:

• Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across both sites.
• Ensure that pupils with SEND receive high-quality, personalised support that enables them to make excellent progress.
• Develop the confidence and expertise of teachers and support staff through effective coaching, training and collaboration.
• Work closely with pupils, families, staff and external agencies to ensure that provision is responsive and joined up.
• Promote high expectations and an inclusive approach to teaching and learning across the school.
• Ensure that SEND policies, systems and processes are effective, consistent and compliant with statutory requirements.
• Use assessment, evidence and pupil voice to evaluate the impact of SEND provision and drive further improvement.
• Contribute to whole-school strategic planning as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Champion creativity and innovation in our approach to meeting the diverse needs of our learners.
