WSP is seeking a Safety Consultant within the Intelligent Infrastructure team in the UK. You will work on operations and safety projects across roads, rail, energy and active travel, delivering high‑quality technical work and contributing to safety governance for a range of public sector clients.

You will collaborate with senior experts and junior colleagues, applying safety by design principles and risk assessment techniques while supporting business development and client proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and/or reviewing safety risk assessments, hazard logs and risk registers in transport.
• Understanding and appreciation of safety by design concepts and the CDM 2015 framework.
• Strong communication and consultancy skills with a systems thinking approach.

Responsabilités

• Undertake high‑quality technical work across Intelligent Infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with specialists across WSP on safety risk assessments, procedures and governance.
• Lead and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to client proposals and delivery.
• Engage with stakeholders to support safety governance and decision making.
