Job summary

Ravensdale Infant and Nursery School is seeking an experienced Dedicated Safeguarding Lead and Pastoral Lead. The role covers safeguarding across the school, including online safety, and leads pastoral care to ensure every child reaches their potential in a secure, supportive environment.

You will provide high-quality guidance to leaders, work with the local authority and police as needed, and model gravitas, supporting staff to challenge and develop behaviour and safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Understanding of attachment and trauma and their impact on children.
• Ability to lead and support staff in safeguarding and pastoral care.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational safeguarding and child protection across the school, including online safety.
• Provide high-quality advice and guidance to school leaders and colleagues.
• Liaise with local authority children’s services, police and other agencies as required.
• Lead pastoral care provision to secure excellent teaching and student wellbeing.
