Willow Resourcing Limited is seeking a talented senior Operational Risk professional to own the design, development, and implementation of the Operational Risk Framework for a leading investment and pensions platform in London. The role offers hybrid working with one day a week in the London office and significant autonomy under a supportive CRO.
The candidate will drive risk governance across the business, embed robust data quality, and lead risk-based reviews, deep dives, and remediation
This is a great opportunity to own the Operational Risk Management framework for a highly successful investment and pensions administration platform.
It’s a highly autonomous role with the support of a very talented CRO, that offers plenty of scope to add value and for extensive interaction with the leadership team.
It’s also a great stepping stone towards a CRO role of your own, and forms part of the firm’s succession planning strategy.
If that’s not enough there’s also a high degree of flexibility, with just 1 day a week required in the firm’s London office.
You’ll own the design, development, and implementation of the Operational Risk Framework and supporting systems, including the Operational Risk, Incidents and Breaches policies, the RCSA framework, KRIs, risk event management, control assurance and action tracking.
You’ll set standards for Operational Risk data quality and MI, assess organisational capability, and develop guidance, training, and tools that embed consistent and proportionate risk management across the business.
You’ll also design and lead a risk-based program of thematic reviews, deep dives, and control testing across material operational risk areas, evaluating evidence, determining findings, and agreeing proportionate remediation.
You’ll have significant Operational Risk experience within Financial Services, with experience in life insurance, investment management, or pensions administration being highly desirable.
You’ll have a strong working knowledge of Operational Risk frameworks, including the RCSA process, incident management, and control design and testing.
We will also consider anyone currently working in a 3rd line Audit capacity who is interested in moving into 2nd line risk management.
You’ll have a proven ability to work independently with a high level of autonomy and possess excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
