Job summary

Costa is seeking a Senior Analyst (Operational Performance) in St Albans to lead the Operational Performance Analytics team. You’ll own the reporting framework, deliver insight across KPIs, and drive continuous improvement across Costa Equity stores.

You’ll automate analytics using Python, Power BI, SQL and collaborate with Data & BI to improve data quality and speed of insight, while developing a high-performing team in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of operational performance management and KPI frameworks in multi-site environments.
• Commercial understanding of retail operations and data-driven decision making.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, SQL, and Python for analytics.
• Proven experience leading reporting, analytics and BI functions with measurable improvements.
• Ability to develop teams and influence senior stakeholders with data-driven recommendations.
• Ideally knowledge of Costa operational standards, labour planning, customer experience metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the operational performance reporting framework with a single source of truth.
• Provide timely insights across productivity, efficiency, customer experience and compliance.
• Develop automated, scalable reporting using Python, Power BI and SQL with Data & BI teams.
• Redesign reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
• Translate data into proactive insights, identifying trends and risks.
• Deliver root cause analysis and actionable recommendations for operational improvement.
• Analyze performance, identify improvement opportunities and measure impact of solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement via KPI development and benchmarking.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of Operational Performance Analysts.
