Job summary

Saab UK, part of a global defence and security leader, is recruiting an Operations Manager for its BlueBear Business in Bedfordshire. You will provide governance, compliance, trials and business coordination support across the organisation to drive continuous improvement and performance tracking.

The role requires NSV clearance at SC level or the ability to obtain it. You will coordinate export control, health & safety, and security, develop KPIs, and ensure alignment with Saab UK’s strategic

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and change-management experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Experience implementing risk management policies including business continuity.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 compliance.
• ISO 27001 desirable.
• Awareness of export control, health & safety and environmental management.
• Experience with defence industry and UK MOD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement to achieve high standards across the organisation.
• Be the focal point for process standardisation and compliance with the quality management system.
• Lead compliance areas including export control, health & safety and security.
• Develop and track KPIs to support the Strategic Business Plan.
• Capture customer feedback and drive change where required.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and risk management activities.
• Deliver training on continuous improvement / operational excellence.
• Support information management and project activity as needed.
