Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking an Operational Excellence Engineer in the UK to drive delivery, implementation, and continuous improvement of production technologies across our distribution centres. This hybrid, project-driven role blends data analysis with hands-on shop-floor work to lift key KPIs such as error rate and minutes per box.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in food manufacturing, high-volume fulfillment, or packaging sectors.
• Proven experience leading or contributing to operational excellence, continuous improvement, or technology implementation projects.
• Strong practical knowledge of Lean Methodology and standard work principles (Green/Yellow Belt).
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Grafana, Tableau, SQL).
• Familiarity with modern digital solutions, AI tools, and low-code/no-code development (PowerApps, AppSheet).

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, milestones and success measures for Opex projects from initiation to implementation.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to identify bottlenecks and reduce waste on the shop floor.
• Analyze operational data and translate metrics into actionable KPI improvements.
• Build practical on-floor tools using low-code/no-code platforms.
• Manage cross-functional stakeholders and communicate updates to leadership.
• Drive change on production floor and ensure sustained adoption of new processes.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; report status to leadership.
• Document process improvements and provide on-site training on CI methodologies.
