Qualifications

This is an established, niche insurer offering a fully remote role, allowing you to work from home every day.

Within the 2nd line of defense, you’ll partner with 1st line operations across Claims, Underwriting, and Distribution to support risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring activities.

You’ll oversee and challenge 1st line risk management processes, controls, and decision-making related to operational and conduct risks. Additionally, you’ll support the enhancement and implementation of the company’s risk management framework, lead RCSAs, develop risk assessments, and monitor risk appetite with 1st line stakeholders.

You will assist in preparing and delivering risk and compliance reports to senior management, Board committees, and regulatory bodies as needed.

This role offers scope for personal initiative and encourages challenging the status quo to help develop the risk culture within the business.

We are seeking an experienced Risk professional from the Financial Services sector, ideally with broad Risk experience across multiple disciplines, including Operational and Conduct Risk. Previous Insurance experience is advantageous but not essential.

You should have experience in developing risk assessments, executing RCSAs, and possess an analytical mindset, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. Excellent communication skills are essential.
