Arriva Group is seeking an experienced head of operational compliance to lead a small team delivering audits across suppliers and internal processes. You will manage the audit programme, ensure evidence-driven findings, and drive CAPA closures while developing AI-assisted reporting to leadership.

You will oversee PSVAR and regulatory compliance, with data-led dashboards and strong collaboration across Operations and Safety teams. Travel nationally as required.

Qualifications

• Proven line management experience in a compliance/audit team.
• Track record delivering an audit programme in a regulated industry.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001; lead auditor preferred.
• Strong supplier assurance and contract compliance understanding.
• Clear findings management, CAPA tracking and evidence discipline.
• Concise report writing for operational leadership.
• Practical use of AI tools for drafting narratives and MI.
• Ability to interrogate data using Excel, Power BI.

Responsabilités

• Audit programme delivery: plan, schedule and deliver audits on risk-based cycles.
• Quality assurance over compliance activities and documentation.
• Line management of the compliance team with objectives and 1:1s.
• Own supplier assurance; escalate issues and track corrective actions.
• Oversee PSVAR and taxi/PHV compliance for rail replacement services.
• Maintain CAPA log; chase owners and verify closure evidence.
• Produce weekly dashboards and monthly audit packs with AI-assisted narratvie.
• Support audits with ISO surveillance readiness and evidence.
• Pilot AI-enabled improvements to audit templates and MI narrative.
