Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Operational Accountant to support the two factory product ranges with cost analysis, reporting and financial controls. You will partner with the Senior Operational Accountant and wider finance team to drive accuracy and insight.

The role requires manufacturing finance experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify priorities.
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective problem solver with a positive and decisive approach.
• Strong communication skills, able to present complex information clearly to stakeholders.
• Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience in manufacturing finance, including costing, inventory and margin analysis is desirable; other experience will be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; ERP systems and Power BI advantageous.

• Support ECO process & review BOMs/routings.
• Support and oversee Perpetual Inventory team of 2.
• Cross functional collaboration across multiple levels.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Operational Accountant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Role Summary

This is a proactive role to provide support to the Operational Finance accounting function across two factory product ranges. Role involves generating and maintaining accurate cost analysis to support the Senior Operational Accountant, the wider finance team and the business. To include management reporting, analysis and financial controls.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the ECO (Engineering change orders) process & review of BOM’s/routings
• Support and oversee Perpetual Inventory team of 2

• Any other ad hoc tasks as requested by Line Manager

Who You’ll Be Working With

You will be working with multiple stakeholders (both Finance and non- finance) across the business.

Skills/Experience

Your previous experience is likely to include

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
