An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ODP, Anaesthetic Nurse or Theatre Practitioner to join the Anaesthetic/Scrub team within the West of England Eye Unit (WEEU) Theatres Day Case Unit.
Our friendly and busy department delivers a wide range of ophthalmic surgical procedures across the Cataract, Corneal, Retinal, Glaucoma, Oculoplastic and General Ophthalmology specialties. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive team committed to providing high-quality patient care in a specialist environment.
The successful candidate will cover Anaesthetics, Scrub, Recovery, Circulate, Day Case Ward and Escort patients from our day case unit to Ophthalmology Theatres.
Previous experience in Ophthalmology would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
Once fully competent the post holder will also co-ordinate the Operating Theatre as designated, in support of, or on the absence of the Band 6 and 7 Senior Practitioner.
You may occasionally need to work at our other Theatre site in Axminster & CEE when needed.
