Job Description:

OutSystems Systems Software Engineer

We are seeking an OutSystems Software Engineer for a highly innovative company, ideally based in Sheffield or remotely across the UK, to join their Software Engineering Team to develop their OutSystems platform. The role involves working within a lean and agile team to enhance software solutions. Due to release cycles, support may be required at least once a month on a rotational basis. For those near Central London, a hybrid model of three days onsite and two days remote is preferred; further afield, full remote work is possible.

As an OutSystems Software Engineer, you will analyze, design, and implement trading systems, as well as develop live updates, pricing reports, and user interfaces. Collaboration with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and obtain signoff is essential. Proficiency in full-stack Microsoft technologies, especially C#, is required, along with teamwork to develop, test, and deliver solutions.

Permanent position details:

• Minimum five years of low-code application development experience on the OutSystems platform.
• Fundamentals in C# and full-stack development.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server, including database design, SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Experience in capturing end-user requirements and working with business stakeholders.
• Bright, collaborative, with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or similar.

Contract details:

Position: Permanent

Salary: Up to £90,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus

Location: Ideally Sheffield or remote across the UK
