Job summary

Genesis is seeking a senior software engineer to own Quadrants end to end — API, IR, optimization and backends. You will design stable interfaces, guide lowering to multiple backends, and drive performance improvements across CPU and GPU backends.

You’ll work with Genesis workloads and help ensure readability and maintainability while pushing for high-performance, differentiable simulation. Expect hands-on coding, reviews, and mentoring as the project grows.

Qualifications

• Ability to design stable API and user-friendly interfaces for a complex compiler project.
• Experience with GPU and CPU backends, and performance-oriented engineering.
• Strong system-design and evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own API & authoring experience, ensuring idiomatic Python usability.
• Design IR, lowering and backends with room to grow.
• Lead optimization to turn naive code into fast execution plans.
• Develop primitives and track regression across Genesis workloads.
• Collaborate to keep Quadrants coherent as the project expands.
