Job summary

Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu, seeks a Developer Relations Engineer to blend engineering, strategy and developer communication across open source communities. You'll engage with Linux users, contribute to docs, talks, and workshops while building trust and guiding product direction.

In a distributed team across time zones, you’ll participate in meetings, engage with communities online and at events, and occasionally travel globally for company and partner events.

Responsibilities

• Participate in team product meetings from strategy to daily development progress
• Engage with developer communities via IRC, social media, forums, and meetups

• Contribute to technical documentation and developer-focused articles or workshops
• Identify opportunities to improve developer experience and product directions
• Present at conferences, meetups or technical events
