Job summary

Frontiers is seeking a dynamic sales and partnerships professional to join our Publishing Development team and help grow our open-access journals. You will reach out to researchers and editors to build collaborations, launch dedicated article collections, recruit Editorial Board members, and commission manuscripts while increasing visibility and submissions.

This entrepreneurial, relationship-driven role focuses on creating opportunities where none existed.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in sales, outreach or business development with a track record of achieving goals.
• Comfortable with uncertainty and building new opportunities rather than following a set playbook.
• Strong influencing skills and ability to engage researchers and editors unfamiliar with our initiatives.
• Knowledge of AI-based tools in a business context and how to apply them to outreach.

Responsibilities

• Reach out directly to researchers and editors to build collaborations and commissions.
• Create and execute outreach strategies to increase journal visibility and submissions.
• Manage a dynamic sales pipeline from initial contact to publication.
• Use AI tools daily to research prospects, personalise outreach and manage the pipeline.
• Build long-term relationships with authors, editors and researchers through conferences and events.
