Job summary

Carr Head Primary School is seeking a positive, caring person to work in CHUKs, the before and after-school club. The post is temporary, 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only, with pro-rata pay for part-time hours. An online DBS check will be carried out on shortlist.

Applications are welcome from those legally eligible to work in the UK. The role requires a relevant childcare qualification, plus English and Maths GCSE (grade 3+) or equivalent and a First Aid qualification.

Qualifications

  • English and Maths GCSE grade 3 or above or equivalent.
  • First Aid qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Work in CHUKs before and after-school club for Carr Head Primary School.
  • Support children in a safe, caring environment during term time only.
  • Maintain safeguarding standards in line with district policy.

We are looking for a positive and caring person to work in CHUKs, our popular and successful before and after-school club.

In CHUKs, our core purpose is to provide a quality service to parents/carers and children alike. It is our aim that the Out of School Club (OOSC) is not only a reliable and convenient childcare service for parents/carers, but also an enjoyable and fulfilling out of school experience for the children.

The post(s) will initially be on a temporary basis for 5 hours per week for the following hours:

Monday to Friday: 7.45pm to 8.45am

Total hours: 5 hours per week (term time only)

Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates.

This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
