Poulton-le-Fylde area: Lancashire County Council seeks an OOSC Manager for Carr Head Primary School. You will lead the before/after-school club, create engaging activities, and ensure a safe, caring environment for children, including those with special needs.

The role is part-time (15 hours per week), term-time only, with potential permanent appointment depending on budget. DBS checks will be completed as part of due diligence.

Qualifications

  • Essential qualification: relevant childcare qualification (or equivalent).
  • Desirable: First Aid Training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Out of School Club (OOSC) and deliver high-quality play opportunities.
  • Manage the OOSC team and liaise with parents/ carers.
  • Carry out general administrative/clerical duties in the Club.
  • Budget stewardship in collaboration with the School Business Manager.

In CHUKs, our core purpose is to provide a quality service to parents/carers and children alike. It is our aim that the Out of School Club (OOSC) is not only a reliable and convenient childcare service for parents/carers, but also an enjoyable and fulfilling out of school experience for the children. We are looking for a OOSC Manager to take a lead in creating high-quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment and provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for the children placed in the Club, including those with special needs. The OOSC Manager will be responsible for delivery of activities within the provision, leading the out of school club team, liaison with parents, and general administrative/clerical duties in the Club. The OOSC budget is managed by our School Business Manager. The post will initially be on a temporary basis for 15 hours per week for the following hours with a view to becoming permanent depending on school budget. Please note that in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2026, an online search will be carried out as part of our due diligence on shortlisted candidates. This position is part time, term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis. The closing date is 09/10/2026 at 12pm.
