Job summary

CVS Vets in Totnes (Devon) is recruiting an experienced Veterinary Surgeon for dedicated OOH/ECC duties. The role operates 7 nights on 14 off (7pm–8am) and is a fixed-term contract for 1 year from January 2027.

You’ll work with an OOH team including an OOH Vet, OOH RVN and Twilight Vet, with access to modern facilities. Perks include up to £66,000 per annum DOE, annualised hours, and funded ECC qualifications, plus Sharesave, RCVS/VDS fees paid, enhanced family leave, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary surgeon for dedicated OOH/ECC role.
• Must be eligible to practise in the UK and hold veterinary qualification.
• Willingness to work nights and long shifts as part of a 7 on/14 off cycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality OOH/ECC veterinary care.
• Collaborate with OOH RVN and Twilight Vet for smooth handovers.
• Utilise digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy in clinical assessments.
