Job description

OOH Registered Veterinary Nurse at MiNightVets Portsmouth for Weekends - Up to £38,000 (pro rata)

MiNightVets Portsmouth branch is seeking an OOH RVN for 18 hours a week on Saturdays and Sundays.

The successful candidate will join our soon-to-open, high-spec practice equipped with:

  • 6 consultation rooms
  • 2 theatres
  • 1 dental suite
  • Imaging suite including CT
  • MNV onsite

You will work with a passionate team providing out-of-hours care to a varied caseload, including dogs, cats, birds, exotics, poultry, and small mammals. This role is ideal for an experienced or new graduate RVN looking to enhance their ECC skills.

The RVN role includes:
  • Working as an active member of the clinical support team
  • Participating in the Nursing rota as directed by the Head Nurse
  • Providing high standards of client service and patient care
  • Ensuring effective communication with all colleagues
  • Supporting Veterinary Surgeons within the Practice
  • Complying with professional regulations, legislations, and standards such as the RCVS practice standards scheme
  • Adhering to CVS's H&S policies and attending relevant training

To be considered for this role, you should:
  • Be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Have ECC skills and surgery experience or a keenness to develop them
  • Be eager to learn and develop

  • Have a positive, enthusiastic approach
