Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Shift Engineer to work on-site in Bromborough, Wirral. The role covers maintenance, fault diagnosis, and daily preventative tasks within the Operations/Production/Manufacturing department.

You will liaise with the Extrusion Shift Manager to minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced packaging production environment. Applicants should have an apprenticeship and an engineering qualification (HNC or degree preferred) with strong fault-finding and IT

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship and engineering qualification required.
• HNC or Degree in Engineering preferred.
• Experience in production maintenance and fault diagnostics beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Fix machine faults during shift activity.
• Respond quickly to line breakdowns and liaise with the Extrusion Shift Manager.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Diagnose faults and perform planned maintenance on extrusion machinery.
• Ensure all PPM schedules are maintained.
• Support project development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Document shift reports and maintain records.
