SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK is seeking a contractor to join our Pitstone team for an initial 6-month assignment, onsite at the customer site and inside IR35. The role may transition to fixed-term or permanent employment.

You will act as the focal point for engineering investigations to support on-time delivery and respond to technical queries, ensuring high-quality engineering output and effective communication with stakeholders.

Competenze

• Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Must have recent rotating machinery experience.
• Must have a mechanical design background/understanding.

Mansioni

• Be the focal for engineering to operations and product support to maintain status and priority information so stakeholders have a clear vision of activities.
• Ensure engineering investigation action plans are well structured, managed and substantiated for quick program decisions.
• Be accountable for the technical quality of work delivered by themselves and others to support their tasks.
• Represent the engineering function at daily production escalation stand-up meetings to provide proactive support and feedback.
• Build and maintain good working relationships between stakeholders and Engineering for effective communication.
• Maintain alignment with Configuration Management and participate in change management board reviews for in-service modifications.
• Provide input to budget forecasting activities as needed.
• Lead projects to improve reliability and FTPR where Pareto data indicates.
• Support SQA and SRPM in supplier investigations for design issues.
• Ensure Local Bond MRB is supported and QNs actioned in a timely manner.
• Lead and complete PRs/ CRS and permits in a timely manner.
