Job summary

Babcock in Rosyth is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a production team and deliver critical work packages safely, on time and to quality and cost targets. The role is on site at Rosyth, 36 hours per week, permanent.

You will translate priorities into operational plans, coach and develop staff, interpret engineering drawings and manage cross-functional interfaces while promoting a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across national defence programmes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and managing teams within a production, manufacturing, engineering, shipbuilding or industrial environment.
• Experience delivering against safety, quality, cost and schedule targets.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation and production specifications.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and people leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading day-to-day production activities to ensure delivery of contractual commitments and production objectives.
• Setting clear priorities and performance expectations while coordinating activities across multiple disciplines and departments.
• Monitoring production performance against key targets and implementing recovery plans where required.
• Championing a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Developing team capability through coaching, performance management, engagement and workforce planning activities.
