Astute Recruitment is working with a small, established business in the Nottingham area to recruit an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of a business.

Working closely with the business owner, you will manage a range of finance responsibilities, from reconciliations and invoice processing through to credit control, VAT

Competenze

• Proven hands-on bookkeeping experience.
• Practical experience using Sage Cloud and Xero.
• Understanding of nominal ledger coding and bank reconciliations.
• Experience processing invoices and managing customer and supplier accounts.
• Knowledge of VAT and related treatments.
• Strong Excel and general IT skills.
• Attention to detail, organisation and communication.

Mansioni

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Sage Cloud and Xero.
• Maintain nominal ledger coding and post journals.
• Complete bank, card and control account reconciliations.
• Process sales and purchase invoices, allocate receipts and record supplier payments.
• Check supplier invoices, pricing discrepancies, credit notes and additional charges.
• Support VAT returns, including appropriate VAT treatments.
• Monitor aged debt, issue customer statements and chase overdue payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and assist with payment runs.
• Prepare financial information, including profit and loss figures, aged balances, cash-flow information and management reports.
• Support payroll administration and year-end preparation where required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve bookkeeping processes, reporting and financial controls.
