Job summary

EDF (UK) seeks a Commissioning Engineer to join the Security and Communication Team on the Hinkley Point C site. You will support safe commissioning activities, witness tests, and help establish secure practices across the project, reporting to the Lead Commissioning Engineer and Commissioning Manager.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering qualifications at HNC or equivalent.
• Able to gain and hold security vetting level to SC.
• Experience with IP-based networks.
• Experience with CCTV, access control and intruder detection systems.
• Demonstrate experience in a strong safety and quality culture.
• Willingness to travel to supplier premises – within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare commissioning documentation.
• Witness Factory Acceptance Tests at supplier premises.
• Surveillance of contractor installations and commissioning tests.
• On-site commissioning tests.
• Implement security protocols during testing.
• Provide advice and support to commissioning teams during testing.
