Job summary

A leading company in the energy sector is seeking a Construction Manager for grid-connected projects. You will be responsible for managing teams, subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of construction contracts and have a proven track record in managing high voltage and battery storage project deliveries.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in construction management for HV, BESS or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3, FIDIC or similar construction contracts.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

This is a key delivery role, responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating internal and external teams, and ensuring safe, timely and commercially sound project execution.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Lead mobilisation, on-site construction, and project handover for grid-connected energy projects
• Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver in line with NEC3/FIDIC contracts
• Ensure health & safety, quality, and compliance across all phases
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
• Oversee site progress and reporting aligned with project governance and commercial goals
• Support internal teams to ensure designs, budgets and programmes are maintained

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven track record in construction management for HV, BESS or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of NEC3, FIDIC or similar construction contracts
• Confident managing subcontractors and leading multi-disciplinary site teams
• Commercial awareness and experience navigating contractual obligations
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Knowledge of CDM and relevant health & safety legislation
