Job summary

Belcan in Bridgwater is seeking an experienced HSEQ Lead to drive health, safety, environmental, and quality excellence on the Hinkley Point C project. You will shape the HSE strategy, work with senior leadership, and guide operational teams to deliver safe, compliant outcomes.

The role requires leading HSE systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across a high-hazard, COMAH context. Chartered IOSH (CMIOSH) and ISAS Lead Assessor credentials are essential, along with CCNSG and a

Qualifications

• Chartered IOSH membership and strong HSE leadership experience.
• Lead Assessor – ISAS or equivalent certification.
• CCNSG qualification or equivalent safety training.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of HSE strategies, policies, programmes and initiatives.
• Monitor and manage HSE systems, standards and behaviours for regulatory compliance.
• Develop and oversee HSE audits, management plans and assurance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the project and wider business.
• Lead the development and delivery of Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems.
