Job summary
Rockwell Automation, Inc. is seeking a Support Engineer based in Maldon, UK. You will provide technical support and engineering services for customers with automation and safety systems, across Rockwell platforms and third‑party controls.
You will report to the Support Manager, work onsite in Maldon, and participate in a support rota, attending sites across the UK and abroad as needed. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and relevant experience are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience supporting industrial control and safety systems.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation platforms a plus.
- Experience integrating third-party automation systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of SCADA/HMI platforms such as FactoryTalk View, Cimplicity, Wonderware InTouch, Panorama.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and maintenance for customer automation and safety systems.
- Visit customer sites onshore and offshore for servicing and commissioning.
- Deliver out-of-hours support as part of a UK/international rota.
- Document site visits, risk assessments and method statements for follow-up.
- Support a range of Rockwell and legacy systems (Allen-Bradley, SLC/PLC platforms).
- Travel to customer sites in the UK and internationally.
