Job summary

OPRA GROUP in London is seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to supervise a small facilities team and manage day-to-day operations of a large complex building within an educational and creative environment. This onsite role will ensure safety, compliance and exceptional service for staff, students and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience in education/arts & culture is a plus.
• Hands-on trades experience preferred, able to roll up your sleeves.
• Experience leading a small team.
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and health & safety regulations.
• Experience managing contractors and service partners.
• Budget management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Professional qualification in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Managing a small Facilities team.
• Ensuring statutory compliance across the building.
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations and running of the building including maintenance and repairs.
• Leading health & safety and risk management activities.
• Monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure.
• Supporting refurbishment and improvement projects.
• Ensuring exceptional standards of customer service for staff, students and visitors.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
