Job summary

Core is seeking a 2nd Line Support Engineer/Field Engineer to join our Service Desk and work on-site with a client in the Stevenage area. The role requires a proactive IT professional delivering high-quality support and excellent client satisfaction.

Role is minimum 3 days on-site, with options for permanent or part-time contractor engagement focused on on-site requirements (approx. 3 days per week).”

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an IT support role, in-house or MSP.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for incidents and service requests via phone, email, and self-service.
• Log incidents accurately with high first-time fix rate in ITSM tool.
• Install hardware and software and support mobile devices.
• Collaborate with other teams for cross-functional tasks as needed.
• Ensure diagnostic info is complete before escalation.
• Document resolutions in Knowledgebase and update service docs.
• Identify opportunities to improve services.
• Support project delivery and adhere to ITIL standards.
