Ofcom is seeking Policy Advisors within the Online Safety Policy Development team to help shape UK online safety regulation. You will contribute to policy work across cross‑functional teams, including legal experts, technologists, economists and researchers, and support the delivery of robust policy on critical topics such as AI, age assurance and platform features.

The role involves analysis, drafting, and collaboration to deliver improved outcomes for users online.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory policy development and drafting policy documents or recommendations.
• Knowledge in AI, age assurance, and online platform features is desirable.
• Ability to evaluate problems and generate insights from evidence-driven analysis.
• Willingness to grow and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Understand how work contributes to Ofcom priorities and deliver on time to a high standard.
• Support project teams to develop options, assess risks and long-term implications.
• Research and analyse multiple data sources and draw concise conclusions for the team.
• Produce clear documents for internal use or external publication (notes, agendas, briefs, reports).
• Provide practical project management support (meetings, planning, programme inputs).
• Build relationships with online services to improve protection for users.
• Develop online expertise and stay updated on policy developments and digital trends.
